1) Whether application for loan and subsidy submitted after
30/04/07 will be entertained by Tea Board ?
Yes. The last date (30/04/07) is applicable to those applicants who wish to avail the loan and subsidy
for the replanting/replacement planting scheduled to be taken up during the ensuing monsoon season (June/July’07).
Others could submit their application, 75 days in advance to the proposed date of commencement
of the field activity.
2) Whether separate application is to be submitted for 2007, 2008
and 2009? If the present application is for 2007, why data for Replanting, rejuvenation, replacement planting for
2008 & 2009 have been asked for in Page 53 ?
Yes. Separate application is to be submitted for the field activity to be taken up during each year. Data for 2007,
2008 and 2009 have been called for at page 53 for making an advance estimate as to the requirement of funds to be
sourced from banks for the loan component and from Government for the subsidy component.

Obtaining No Objection letter from existing Banker will take time as the financing branch of Bank will
forward the application by garden for such no objection to its Regional office/Controller. What will happen
if such NOC is not submitted by 30/04/07 ?
No. Objection letter (NOL) from the existing Banker is one of the prerequisites for considering the loan sought for and if not submitted,
the application for loan cannot be taken up for processing. If it is not possible to obtain NOL before 30/4/2007, the application can be
submitted later as indicated in the reply to Q.1. above.
4) Similarly, obtaining report of soil testing may take time. What will happen
if soil testing reports is not obtained by 30/04/07 ?

Soil suitability as evidenced by the soil test report is a pre-requisite for commencement of planting in the applied area.
5) Whether garden/tea companies who are defaulters to their existing bank are eligible for subsidy only ?
Subsidy will be considered so long such applicants are not willful defaulters and are able to provide evidence as to the source of funding for the
envisaged field activity.
6) Whether provisional Balance sheets & financial statement for FY 2006-07 will do (Refer Page 43) ?
Yes.

What will be the interest rate for loan ?
The interest will be fixed on the basis of the G.Sec rate prevailing at the time of sanctioning the loan.
The actual rate of interest to be charged for the borrowers would be G.Sec rate plus 1.5%.
8)
Whether applicants for only subsidy (Not loan) will have to fill up form ‘A' and attach documents mentioned in Page 41 ?
All the applicants are required to submit form ‘A’ and ‘B’ even if they wish to avail subsidy only.
As regards the documents are concerned, the applicants wishing to avail subsidy only need to submit all the
documents excepting Copies of Memorandum and Article of Association/Partnership Deed, List of
Directors/Partners and documents relating to title deeds.
9) Corrigendum
Applicants seeking subsidy only is also required to submit Part-A with all the required documents as given below.
- Copies of audited Profit & Loss A/Cs. and Balance sheet for past 5 years.

Proof of Membership with TRA/UPASI-TRF as applicable

Proof of Contribution to the National Tea Research Foundation (NTRF).
- Site Plan indicating the sections where the replanting/rejuvenation/replacement planting is/are proposed to be carried out. (A similar copy of the map has also been submitted to Tea Board office located at ………………………. on …………….along with Application Form Part B).
- Soil analysis report of the proposed area for replacement planting (A similar copy of the SAR has also been submitted to Tea Board office located at ………………………. on …………….along with Application Form Part B).
- Copy of the challan in respect of payment towards current PF dues and a certificate confirming that the outstanding liabilities of Provident Fund is less than Rs.10,000. / Copy of Court Decree or written consent from the PF Authorities allowing for payment of arrear dues in installments for the outstanding PF dues exceeding Rs.10,000/-
